Wikk sucks on his teeth as he loads another bolt into his crossbow. He adjusts the angle at which his weapon lies atop the rock, aiming to fire upon the cultist at (15, 11). His practice with this weapon has fortunately been minimal thanks to his sly tongue and fanciful spellcraft. However, something in his gut calls to him and instills a sense of community among these adventurers. Perhaps he should train more, starting with this cultist. He takes another deep breath, squeezes the trigger, and watches the bolt fly.

Kull connects the cultist with his fist, they stagger, and then go down unconcious; just as Wikks perfectly aimed arrow peirces them in the side. Grigori again fails to connect, his arms weak and slow, easy to dodge. Celaena easily hits her distracted opponent, but only manages a slight hit. Wolf now continues to attack.

The wolf again is unable to do anything except keep the cultist off balance.

It's still Arlettes turn to act, and then the remaining cultists. The big "U" is for unconcious.

Arlette's bolt flys off into the trees, striking a particularly evil looking branch.

The magic-cultist that had been hampering Grigori raises her hands again and begins her usual mutterings and finger-wigglings. Before she can complete her spell though, she is snatched up into the sky by a large black claw.

The dragon has come.

It circles in the air above the little bowl-shaped area and tears apart the cultist, raining a fine mist of blood interspersed with chunks of flesh into the trees. The remaining cultist, caught between the wolf and Celaena panics and begins to run.

Celanea, you have an attack of opportunity here if you're willing to take it.

The rest of you, it's your turn to act.

"Well then, looks like we have some bigger company," Grigori mutters. He then let's out a heavy breath then musters his strength before shouting, "GET UNDER A TREE OR SOME MANNER OF COVER, IT'LL BE HARDER FOR HIM TO SEE YOU FROM THE AIR! WIKK, IF YOU COULD TALK TO YOUR BIG FRIEND THERE IT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!"

Grigori then books it for some cover (9,14) under the nearby tree, hoping he'll have some time to regain his strength and that the others follow his suggestion.

Grigori will also take cover behind his shield facing NE

After the last bolt, Ludo's crossbow got stuck, and he had spent the next moments having to repair that whilst the others continued their assault - not a good look for Ludo, hopefully no one had really noticed.

Especially not with the approach of the dragon.

"Well he did warn us he would come for us! I imagine this is where we begin our hasty retreat, right Arlette?"

Ludo will follow Arlette's lead in her next action and do whatever she does, I'll roll after her.

Seeing the cultist flee, Celaena leaps at him as a last attempt to take him down, still annoyed that he attacked her wolf. She then turns towards the dragon frowning slightly at the blood and gore raining down.

Wikk's eyes widen at the sight of the claw coming into the bowl. There's a moment of exhilaration as he witnesses the power and majesty of his kin pulling a mortal apart with such ease. That moment of thrill subsides with the prospect of being next, and so he climbs up to his clawed feet and belts out a greeting to the elder in draconic.

"Great Elder. I do not intend to remain here, as you've said I'm unwelcome, but I could not stand to see you ensnared in a mere mortal's ritual a moment longer! We've dispatched the Plain One that bound you! It was through great effort that they were dispatched and blood has been shed on both sides. If you would spare these adventurers' purses and instead reap what treasures the cultists kept these brave souls who've fought for you would be grateful!"

Should that go over even remotely well, he would continue with, "It would also be my distinct pleasure to discuss matters of the arcane with you if you have the time. I wish to one day ascend into the skies alongside the great wyrms of our era and must grow in strength to accomplish this!"
