(sorry for the delay guys, I've had a busy couple days at work)

The king smile at Arlette's question. "The guilds, especially the Merchants, aren't always in agreement within their own ranks. There's always some upstart vying for power, so there is always disagreement and dissention. Unlike a royal heir, who can't be disputed", he adds with another smile. "Unless of course the people decide to rid themselves of their king, as is to happen from time to time."

"So yes, there is risk. But the ones I am soon meeting want to make amends and end this cold war. The risk is mine to bear, for the people."

Peter listens to Kai and simply nods acceptance. He motions with his chin for the other guard. "Bring him back swiftly," is all he says. These guards seem to have an ability to communicate with very few words or actions. He says to Kull, "you are probably right. Perhaps a drunk Orc-man sleeping it off in the warehouse district wouldn't be that much of an unusual sight," he continues.

With everything agreed, and Kai returned quickly, Peter lays out a map for you to follow. He indicates the position of the warehouse where the king is to have his meeting, along with the nearby streets and outbuildings. You've all agreed on your positions and rolls for now.
  • Kai and Grigori will be kings guards.
  • Arlette will hide in the shadows nearby the warehouse
  • Ludo will be in the open, acting drunk and singing. He will look for some crates or barrels or anything he can get up high on to provide a bit of a lookout, though the terrain around the warehouse is flat.
  • Kull will lean against one of the buildings and pretend to be asleep, on the opposite corner as Arlette.
You've all agreed on the codewords that Ludo will sing out. He will repeat a phrase from a common song when he sees nothing, an annoying drunk singing. When he thinks he sees something but is not sure, he will add a minor key to the phrasing. Once he knows something is there, he will sing one of four different variations of a chorus based on which side of the building something is on. If he sees anyone around that he thinks is suspicious, he will walk by them, and as he gets to them he will sing a particularly vulgar chorus to mark the position for Arlette and Kull to be aware of.

(I haven't got a map because I need to reinstall my map software and can't download it right now. Power of Imagination for the time being).

The group arrives at different times and disperses. The king and his retinue move directly to the warehouse and are hastily let in by someone standing guard. All appears quiet, and all appears still. Kull is at the south eastern corner, Arlette at the north-western. Ludo has entered on the eastern side and is wandering around for now.

Grigori and Kai are just inside the door. There is only two people from the Merchants guild here, they say that they are awaiting a third who is late. The king nods and sits down, where he is offerred some water and bread. There is no ceremony here, it seems like the powers in the kingdom throw aside the trappings of pomp and ceremony when behind closed doors.

Kai will use sense evil while also looking to see if there is any other entrances to the warehouse and will let peter or the king know whether or not if the two have an evil presence

Ludo begins his rounds of the warehouse, adding a little stumble here and there, and playing silly little tunes on his fiddle - though intentionally making a few mistakes to keep up his charade. In between his little tunes, he keeps his eye out and looks around for people who seem more out of place than usual in this area. He feels uncomfortable, and feels a strange amount of pressure on him - hopefully though, there's nothing for him to see.

If Ludo happens to spot anything or anyone out of place, he moves to play the appropriate code.

Arlette slinks into the shadows, ears and eyes sharp looking for any sign of anyone that looks out of place, behaving out of character, or any hints members of the cult are around.

Kull just lays on the ground while breathing slowly and hiding his weapons under his clothes. He does not attempt to look around as that would conterproduktive to his diguise. He relys only on his ears and the sounds he hears.

Kai you do not detect any evil from the two men speaking with the King. You are invited to help yourself to the food laid out on the table.

Ludo you don't spot anything odd or out of the ordinary. Neither does Arlette, though she does remain very well hidden. Neither of you hear anything.

Kull, you hear the unmistakable sound of a sword being checked in it's sheath. The sound is ocurring to the north, near the warehouse.

Kai will walk up to the table and quietly tells the king, "the two merchants currently here do not have an evil presence." kai will then grab a piece of bread to eat but does not sit down.

All Ludo can do right now is continue with the plan, so far, he's spotted nothing, but that could change at any moment and so he has to be prepared. He continues with assorted notes and jingles, some still played sloppily, but all making sure nothing even close to the codes.

Performance (to make sure no one misinterprets his jingles for a code.
