In the quarters of The Sword of Pelor
Re: In the quarters of The Sword of Pelor
Kull jumps of the wagon, streching his libs from the rather calm journey. He calmly walks up to the officer while not trying to look like a threat, to make himself less dangerous, he also left his weapons on the wagon. He asks the officer in a calm voice: What is the reason for this blocade ? Please sate your reasons to block this road and keeping us from important buisness. He then waits with crossed arms for a response

Re: In the quarters of The Sword of Pelor
The officer regards the hulking Kull with open disdain before replying in a sneer. "The King's own ship is sailing through the blockades. You're to stay back, off the bridge, in the name of the king!"
Looking up stream, toward the direction you came, you can see in the distance a large river ship rounding the corner, towering over the cliffs on either side of the river. Ahead of it race several smaller ships, laden with guards. Down below, on the other side of the river, you can see guards holding back curious onlookers.

Kull sighs but know better than to anger the guards with a comment or ignoring their demands. He walks back to the wagon and tells the others: they wont let us pass they want us to wait for their king. any suggestions lads ?

"I guess we wait, friends."
Arlette plans to contact her guild upon entering the city to find out if the king was really aboard the ship, seeing as he has been so aloof of late, and held to hostage by the merchants guild.

Eventually the tall ship passes underneath the bridge and the guards make their way into the city. The main road remained blocked for some time while the guards loaded up into their many wagons, but there were enough side-streets and alleyways for people to get around. Eventually the train of wagons left the city, presumably to follow the course of the ship.
You make your way to The Blue Dog, where Kull and Arlette have stayed before.Arlette makes the necessary hand-signals and passwords to get an audience with one of the knowledge bearers of the Thieves Guild. Arlette you are surprised to learn that the guild charges for these sorts of services, as you're not exactly a fee-paying member. It will cost you 100gp to learn about the passage of the king, or the whereabouts of the king and related information. You have also become better at speaking in code now that you've done it a few times, so you feel comfortable talking to other thieves in public, with your conversation sounding innocuous.

As the party is sitting in the common room of The Blue Dog, eating a meal, a rather surly looking Gnome, dressed in fairly old, but functional clothing, approaches your table.
"Eh! You!" he belches, pointing a finger at Fenner. "Give us some money. I'm broke. Give us some money, and I'll tell you a secret."

Arlette loves gossip. Whilst the gnome approaches Fenner she will make her way around the patrons and gather information, the local gossip and who's who about town. She will also make friends with the bar keep, spending a little extra money if necessary.

Kull looks at the gnome and just scoffs: Either you tell what secrets your selling ? Or if its just blabber go to work . He then walks into the tavern to spend the rest of his day there maybe competing in a armwrestle tournament.

Fenner looks at the goblin sideways. "What kind of information. I don't buy anything with assessing it's worth."
