Re: On the trail to Threerun
"Moving pile of stone? What in jesters hell could that be?" Arlette hops down off the wagon and runs to see the combat Kull is speaking of. When she reaches were Kull first stood she sees the moving pile of stones and creatures she's only heard about in tales. "GOBLINS!" She yells back to the others at the cart, "I'm sure they're goblins, why are they fighting with rocks, and how can rocks actually fight something?" She looks back at the others, "Elec, Hilda, Hragg, have any of you see this before? Goblins are evil, aren't they, why would they fight rocks?"
Re: On the trail to Threerun
"Fighting rocks, what are you talking about?" Elec pauses, hands resting on his scrossbow, wondering if his companions have gone mad. He would run to Krull and Arlette to see the battle for himself. "Oh that fighting rock"

Hilda's skin crawled at the word "goblins". "Arlette, Goblins are dwarves natural enemy." Hilda gears up for a battle.

Re: On the trail to Threerun
Arlette looks upon the battle concerned. She looks across to Kull, readying himself to fight the stones and defend the goblins. She looks to Hilda and Hragg, both armed and looking mighty fierce, preparing to fight the goblins and she assumes save the stones. But what in jesters hell are those stones? Lastly, she looks to Elec, she has no idea whose side she's meant to be on, or who she should save... "Maybe we can get them all to stop and find out what's going on?" she asks, mostly to herself.

Re: On the trail to Threerun
No one has the knowledge skill neccessary to determine what the stone pile is. But Hilda and Hragg can both roll INT checks. If you roll 15 or better you will know what it is.

Hragg is sure someone mentioned something like this to him, but in the excitement, he couldn't pull it to the front of his brain. "Do we help? And if so, which side do we help?"

"Let's stop the fighting."
Arlette storms down there with her loudest disappointed mother voice and yells at the goblins, "Enough of this, step back from the rocks and sit down!"
Intimidation check

Re: On the trail to Threerun
Arlette, the four goblins notice you, but none of them seem particularly intimidated. One of them peels off from the battle with the Rock and Dirt and faces you, barking something in a language you don't understand before it laughs and steps forward.
This map doesn't indicate that battle is a foregone conclusion, I just think it's important to illustrate where everyone is in case combat does start. The Blue Arrow indicates the direction the fifth goblin fled, the green arrow indicates the direction of Hragg and Hilda by the wagon. From a "combat" perspective, the party has initiative over the goblins. Hragg and Hilda are a single combat round away from rushing up the hill to a position near Kull and Elec.

- The water slows your movement speed to half, the bushes reduce your movement speed to 5-ft steps, the rocks reduce your movement speed to half.
- The bushes offer concealment and cover
- The rocks offer cover
- If you are "uphill" of your opponent in melee, you get high ground advantage
Re: On the trail to Threerun
"Did she really just did that", Elec peels his face off his hand and asks Kull. He would then run down to 10:07 and slings his crossbow on his back, then he would take out his remaining throwing axe, and hold off his attack until the goblins begin attacking Arlette. L
