"Everyone, this bite is definitely not normal. Like, this is bad. We've got to do something. Maybe there's something around we can use to help heal him? Anyone know anything about spider bites?!" Hilda tries treat Landowe.

Elec, the large spider is gone, drowned into the river.

Considering everyone else has posted, I'll roll Hragg's heal check. He's getting a +6 to it because you've all tried to help (but only 3 of you have helped, Kull didn't roll high enough to help.

Okay; the team has managed to stabilise Landowe. He's still unconscious though, and his muscles look to be contracting now, still preventing him from moving. The wagon and horses remain unmolested on the road where it was left (just south of the clearing you battled the spiders in). There's not much of the night left now, maybe a couple hours at most; the moon still provides low-light when not under the trees. The road both sides of the river is in the forest though, and based on how thick the overhead canopy was before, it will be pretty hard-going to set out now (but definitely possible) You're about a day from Avim.

Neither Kull nor Elec can determine anything from the dead spiders, they seem as normal as could be expected from a monstrously large creature like them. FYI I love the descriptions of helping Hragg Heal check (sucking out poison and splashing him with water).

What do you all want to do now?

Everyone please give yourselves 360 experience points each.

Arlette, ever looking for a way to turn a buck, quickly assesses the remains of the most intact spider to see if there is anything worth taking to possibly trade in Avim. She will also recover any bolts she can, before helping get the wagon ready and make Landowe comfortable so they can travel as soon as everyone is ready.

Arlette, you poke and prod at the spider carcasses, noting that there's a lot of damage. The carcass itself probably isn't worth a lot, but the silk and venom glands could be worth about 5gp each (you've got 2 silk glands and 2 poison glands you could harvest), if you can get them to a city where a wizard or alchemist might make use of them.

You could just take the corpses, they each weight about 33lbs and sell them, but you'd probably only get half as much to make someone else cut out the glands. You could try to remove them yourself, but that's going to take a Survival Check or Profession (Hunter) check, with a DC of 20.

Arlette attempts to remove the glands herself, "try to kill me, I'll make a damn fine blouse out of your silk! Whose the winner now, Miss Spider?"

Arlette you fail in your abstraction attempts, destroying the glans in the process.
